Crystal Sakar is also known as Rock Candy and is composed of larger crystals of regular sugar. The crystals are formed by allowing a supersaturated solution of sugar and water to crystallise. They crystallise on the surface suitable for crystal nucleation. They originated in Iran. Crystals were created while cooling the supersaturated sugar solution. Their original colour is white and they are also used widely for adding in tea or milk. Crystal Sakar (Rock Candy) is used for curing cough, curing a cold, throat infection, helps in dissolving kidney stones, give relief in stomach aches, is also used for better breath, helps to prevent nasal bleeding.
