Halwasan is a popular Indian sweet originating from Khambhat, Gujarat. It is made from coarsely ground wheat flour, milk, edible gum, sugar, curd, and nutmeg, and garnished with dry fruits. The sweet has a fudge-like texture and is gooey. It is a healthy sweet dish and is known to give warmth to the body. Popularly halwasan is prepared during festivals, but certainly can be prepared without any occasions and served as dessert.
